Zendikar Prerelease is 2 weeks away!

Hi Folks,

The release of new Magic The Gathering set Zendikar is approaching faster than a speeding Thundermare! And with this ultra-powerful set comes a Prerelease Event so kicked’ up it’s virtually explosive! In fact, it’s so explosive it will cause the lands to fall leaving intimidated allies and Planeswalkers running straight into a trap!

Okay, maybe I got carried away with Zendikar keywords, just a little bit… So about this Prerelease!

Magic The Gathering Zendikar Prerelease
•   Date: Saturday September 26th
•   Location: Fun Express – John’s Pass Village (2nd Floor)
•   Time: 11:00am
•   Format: Sealed Pack (each participant receives 6 MTG Zendikar booster packs to build with.)
•   Entry: $25

There are things in life that just shouldn’t be missed, and if you are a MTG player, this is one such event! Be there!

Feel free to call, email, or talk to me at the shop for inquiries you may have on the event. It’s going to be a great one.

Now for this weekend's event drilldown!

Friday:
6:00pm, MTG Friday Night Magic (FNM) at Fun Express! Format Standard Type 2, entry $6.

Saturday:
4:30pm, Yu-Gi-Oh! Ancient Prophecy Super Prize Event. Duelists battle it out Advanced Constructed style to be enamored with the glory of Chief Duelist and of course, booster swag! Entry $10. All Ancient Prophecy Prizes!

7:00pm, Magic The Gathering Booster Draft at Fun Express! Draft night offers it’s participants the chance to get their M10 on, with a 3x M10 draft. Entry $12.

Hi Folks,

So we have another great weekend of gaming events on the horizon this week!

Here’s the drill down…

Saturday:

Yu-Gi-Oh! 4:30pm – Advanced constructed tournament format. Entry $7

Magic:TG 7:00pm – Draft night features the always exciting M10 draft format with a twist! Should be good! Entry $12.

That’s all for this week guys! We’ve got a gloomy day out there today, why not spend some time flipping cards and chilling out? That’s what I’ll be doin.

eNews! Yu-Gi-Oh! Sneak Peek Ancient Prophecy Is Here!

Ancient Prophecy Sneak Peek

It’s finally here! The Yu-Gi-Oh! Ancient Prophecy Sneak Peek is tomorrow, and with it brings a windstorm of new cards to the format. Plus, we have a Magic: TG booster draft in the evening featuring Alara block boosters.

Here are all the event details for Saturday…
Saturday:
11AM Yu-Gi-Oh! Sneak Peek Event! – Entry is $20 and includes 5 packs plus a promo card while supplies last! – All the action starts at 11AM with registration at 10:30AM. – The format is open dueling with flights (pod of players). Build your 20 card deck with the cards out of your 5 packs only (no trading allowed until after the event,). You have 30 minutes to build your deck and then you can open duel anyone during the event! – The 2 playmats will be awarded randomly per flight, and have no bearing on how well you do in the open dueling! Everyone has an equal chance to win a mat.

Additional flights will be available throughout the day depending on participation with promo cards and the same format as above!

Be one of the first to get your hands on the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! set!

7PM – Magic: TG Booster Draft. MTG Draft night at Fun Express features the Alara Block draft format (ACR) this week. It should be a great time, so we’ll see you there for that! Entry $12, each participant receives three boosters to draft with.

The scorching hot Florida sun is rivaled this weekend by blisteringly hot gaming events at Fun Express! It’s gonna be a great time!
