Thanks all for a fantastic Yu-Gi-Oh! Stardust Overdrive Sneak Peek Event last week! Turnouts to the event were great, and lots of fun had so thanks for coming!

We’ve got some fun and interesting events for you this week, so without further ado…

Saturday:

4:30pm – Yu-Gi-Oh! Warrior’s Strike Structure Deck Tourny – all participants receive a new Warrior’s Strike Structure Deck to wield in a 4 round swiss style tournament. Since all players in the event will be running the same deck, the chief duelist will be one that has mastered both his play and luck! Could this be you? Arrive Saturday at 4:30pm to find out! Entry $12.

7:00pm – Magic The Gathering ZenZenReborn draft! That’s right, this Saturday’s MTG Draft Night features the fascinating and always exciting Zendikar limited format with an interesting twist! This will be a good one indeed. Be there! Entry $12.

New products include Yu-Gi-Oh! Booster Restocks, MTG Alara Reborn, and smoking hot Garruk/Lliana Duel Decks! Have you seen the Garruk/Lliana Duel Deck card lists?! Yea, I know. Get your duel decks this week, they won’t last!

Hi Folks,

Thanks goes out to the participants of last week’s events, a great time was had by all in both the Yu-Gi-Oh! and MTG events.

Now for this week.

Besides the always enjoyable events this week at the shop, the annual John’s Pass Seafood Festival is going on this weekend, and that brings up two important points.

#1 – Plan for parking/drop off traffic. It will be busy.
#2 – Invite some family out and make it a day. There’s plenty to do at the festival every year, so you can easily sling cards while others enjoy the surroundings which include dining, shopping, and of course that beautiful beach across the street. We’ve got great weather for it this weekend, so come on out!

To the events…

Saturday:

4:30pm - Yu-Gi-Oh! Advanced @ Fun Express! $7 advanced format event, swiss style. Prizes based on participation.

7:00pm – MTG draft night hosts the last 3x Zendikar draft for a little while, as next week we’re switching to split pack format. Entry $12, all participants receive three packs to draft with. BONUS: Magic Charades after the draft, gotta love it.

New product updates include Yu-Gi-Oh! Ancient Prophecy Special Edition packs. Next week, New Warrior Structure Decks arrive.

Guys it’s never too early to be thinking about the new Stardust Overdrive Release, and whenever there’s a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Release, there’s also a Sneak Peek Event!

That’s right, the new Stardust Overdrive Sneak Peek is coming up on  
10/31 (Halloween Day)! Starting at 12pm, you’re assured all kinds of fantastic Yu-Gi-Oh! goodness before you head out for a night filled with the macabre. I’ll post more on this later, but seriously guys next week!

I’ve got to say that last week’s Magic The Gathering Zendikar Prerelease was seriously the best MTG Prerelease EVER. No lie. A great number of our player base attended the sealed, draft, or both. Lots of boosters were cracked, matches played, and fun had. A great prerelease indeed!

Did you miss the prerelease? Players are talking everywhere about how awesome Zendikar limited is, so if you missed out on the prerelease goodness (or simply haven’t had enough) there’s hope for you yet.

Details: Each player will receive 3 Zendikar boosters to draft with. As a bonus, each participant to the Zendikar Launch Party will receive an exclusive promo card given out only at the event.

It’s going to be a great time, so be there!

Format: Standard
Entry: $6
Promo card is a very cool looking Browbeat!

Saturday:

4:30 pm: Yu-Gi-Oh! Advanced Constructed Tournament @ Fun Express!
Format: Advanced
Entry: $7

Players compete in the ever-changing Advanced Format metagame for prizes and glory!

7:00pm: Magic The Gathering Zendikar Launch Party @ Fun Express!
Format: Zendikar Booster Draft
Entry: $12 (each player receives 3 boosters to draft with)

New MTG set Zendikar is introduced to players with a special event. Promo cards go to event participants!

Zendikar officially releases and is on sale this week starting Friday. Call the store if you need to preorder a box this week. They’re going fast.
